A Callington woman has been fined and had six points added to her driving licence after pleading guilty to driving without due care and attention.

Anita Randon, 55 of Callington pleaded guilty to the offence on Monday, December through Plymouth Magistrates’ Court. On April 7 this year, Randon drove a Lexus RX300 on the A390 through St Ann’s Chapel without due care and attention.

Taking the guilty plea into account when imposing the sentence, the serving magistrate ordered Randon to pay total costs of £199 (an £80 fine, costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a victim surcharge of £34) which must be paid by January 2 2023. Six points were also added to her driving licence, with a D20 notice sent to the DVLA.
