Residents of Fitzford Lodge at Churchill Retirement Living in Tavistock hosted a coffee morning recently open to everyone to raise funds for Devon Air Ambulance.

The event was well attended by both residents and people from Tavistock, all of whom were keen to socialise and donate.

Devon Air Ambulance was the cause chosen by residents themselves and they have previosuly run other such fundraising events, particularly for Macmillan Cancer Support — another of their favoured charities.

The event was overseen by regional marketing executive Jo Ridehalgh.

The residents host additional events separate from fundraising ones too.

A big upcoming event in Fitzford Lodge’s social calendar is an outdoor tea party that they will be hosting to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on May 19 at 2.30pm. Staff promise that this event is set to be a very exciting and patriotic day.
